OSMC RC2 B+ Logitech M150 wireless mouse

Hello all,

I just installed, downloaded from the osmc.tv website, the OSMC RC2 on a Raspberry B+.
After the system installs itself on the SD card I get the question to input my country.
I am not able to scroll up with the mouse, I can only scroll down with the mouse.
I use an wireless Logitech M150 mouse.
I use this mouse also on the Raspbmc KODI 14 media player with no trouble at all.
So I did an upgrade to the latest version using the sudo apt-get update: sudo apt-get upgrade command.
But this doesn’t solves the problem.
Also the System entry in the main menu window is not visible.
The following entry’s are visible:

Videos
Music
Pictures
My OSMC
Favourites
Programs

How can the System entry been made visible?
I seems if the system can’t cope with this mouse at the moment.
Is there a solution for the problem?

The OSMC skin is not designed for use with a Mouse - if you need to use a Mouse you’ll have to switch to a different Skin.

As far as System missing - just scroll down. (You won’t be able to do this with a mouse though, you’ll need to use a keyboard or remote, or switch Skins)

Hi OSMC Developer,

Thanks for your reaction.
I don’t have a working keybord.
Do you know the Linux command’s to use to change the skin to ‘Confluence’ under the command line using the SSH protocol.

Although the skin can be changed by editing guisettings.xml it’s not straight forward.

An easier way would be to use the built in web based remote - go to the IP address of your device in a browser and you should get the web remote control which you can use to navigate menus etc.

Hi OSMC Developer,

The method you suggest works fine.

Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

Regards.
