OSMC rpi 3 cannot connect to wifi 5GHz
OSMC rpi 2 connect withaut problem to wifi 5GHz with same wifi dongle

need to paste something into config.txt

Hi,

If you are trying to use an external wifi dongle on the pi3, you need to disable the internal one. You can do this by adding:

dtoverlay=sdhost

to the config.txt
