Everything was working very smooth for about 3 months until today I updated my OSMC.
After update PI restarted and now it won’t boot. I got fixed red light on my Rpi 2.
I was running on May update with Kodi 16.1 and OSMC was installed on extended drive not SD Card.
Is there a way to fix it or I need to set it up all again?
Thanks
No green LED flash at all? Try to unplug and replug the SD card.
No green at all. I tried that with SD card and it didn’t work. Still fixed red light and no booting.
Not good what you could try:
- Plug the SD card into your notebook and check/report which files are displayed
- Try to put the installer on another SD Card and boot it without your USB disk connected and see if it boots at all
Yes it boots on another SD Card with USB disk connected.
Is there a possibility to install new osmc on another card and after that using old sd card data recover the old system settings?
Yes, definitely there is that option. But in your first post you said:
So if you have done a USB install before. If you now do a SD card install. You could boot from the SD Card and then copy the settings (/home/osmc/.kodi folder) from your USB drive.
