Pivpn

Hi JOSE_BARRANCO,

Have you tried as dillthedog suggests?

Then re-run the script

Tom.

so, what I do?

Hi,

You need the run the command above from the command line and then redo the instructions from Pivpn.

Thanks Tom.

lsb_release is a Jessie package, which comes from upstream, not us, so it will indeed advertise OSMC as Debian Jessie. Conversely, if you installed the Ubuntu version…

Not quite…

My point is that if you look at upstream, they use VERSION and VERSION_ID. Version ID should be a date or incremental version, but VERSION can include a codename or explanation of the version. We do the same: i.e. the two fields are not redundant.

hello,

Now, i can installed pivpn but ia have this error and don’t work

Hi,

Looks like you need to set a static IP, you can do this via MyOSMC.

Thanks Tom.

Answer “Aceptar” and continue.

i have ip static

The code will set a static IP only if it Raspbian, but I don’t think it’s important. Try to continue to the end.

Hi,

So what isn’t working?

Whats the output of:

pivpn -d

Thanks Tom.

Do not connect outside the network.
It seems that everything works well but does i not connect the pi from the outside.

Hi,

If its installed and running, I think we may beyond the scope of support of OSMC; You may quicker positive result by asking PiVPN for support.

Even so, if you try the following:

Run: pivpn -d

Try and connect a client and then provide the out of above command from osmc.

Thanks Tom.

hi Tom,
In register Openvpn ,
UDP link local: (not bound)
UDP link remote: xx.xxx.xxx.xx:1194
Peer Connection Initiated with xx.xxx.xxx.xx:1194

Hi,

Ok what does the client device report, its it running with logs? What is the client device?

Thanks Tom.

Android. OpenVPn

Hi,

Android covers a range of devices, can you please be more specific?

Also based on:

In register Openvpn ,
UDP link local: (not bound)
UDP link remote: xx.xxx.xxx.xx:1194
Peer Connection Initiated with xx.xxx.xxx.xx:1194

It seems to be connecting, what fails on the android device?

Thanks Tom.

Tom
I don´t know.,

Uff ,
I think I’m going to uninstall it pivpn. I can not find the solution.
With Raspibian everything perfect.

I think that might be the best solution. OpenVPN can be quite difficult to set up and, although OSMC and Raspbian are similar, they are not exactly the same.

If Pivpn on Raspbian works well for you, that is probably the best route to take.

Mine is working with Win7 and Android using “OpenVPN Connect” app, both outside network.

can you tell me how you did it?
