Playback Problems with Recorded TV-Shows of TVheadend

Aloha,

maybe someone has any Idea where I could further Look into that:

I have done a setup for my father with Pi2, a Sundtek DVB-C-Stick and an external WD-HDD. Everything worked like a charm. But now (maybe since the October-Update) the Playback of the recorded TV-Sessions stopped working. At random position when playing back …

  • Kodi froze, SSH still worked so i could reboot [October Update]
  • Playback stops [November Updae]

But!

If I navigate with Kodis builtin Filemanager to the recorded Files on the external HDD i can playback the File without any Problem.
(Same for the playback via the samba share on remote computer)

Has anyone, any Idea what could cause this behavior and how to fix it?

Here is the kodi.log File, do you need another Log? (maybe grab-log -all?)

Hi @Moppen,

I have never really used the tvheadend built in recording list, to play back content… i always just added the recording folder as an video folder and selected that way what i wanted to see… imo tvheadend have a problem here it sometimes just does not work on large files/recordings or if tvheadend is already playing something else like a live stream.

I would recommend not selecting/viewing recorded content through tvheadend, but use kodi/OSMC directly.
