I have just received my Vero 4k+ and the TV dongle.
I realised that the remote & TV dongle will use both USB ports. But I also plan to a HD via usb which has its own power supply.
Can I buy a simple non-powered usb hub to attach the two dongles?
Or would these need to be used with a powered hub?

A non-powered hub would should be fine for this situation. I think the preferred connection method would be to plug the TV tuner and hub directly into the Vero and the self-powered hard drive and remote dongle into the hub.
The TV dongle uses a fair bit of power, particularly when using DVB-T2. I recommend powering it where possible; or you may experience dropouts.
