Hello ! I am trying make me a mediacenter, but I am a newbe on Linux. I have connected the usb disk ( western digital MyBook 8GB), but it doesn,t show up.
I have problems finding any topic, that i understand. Sorry

If it was formated with a Windows Filesystem it normally should be automounted.
Now to troubleshoot you first could upload logs via MyOSMC and then share the URL here.
But in the long run for full troubleshooting you might need to login the command line and e.g. run lsblk -f

Are you using a powered USB hub or power supply for the drive?

I formated It too Ext4, because I read that It was the best and fastest for the OSMC !

It should appear automatically in Kodi. If you upload a log, we can see if it is being detected.
Yes, that would be the best. Just upload logs via MyOSMC or comannd line grab-logs -A and we can check whats going on.
