Problems communicating with Kodi via Kore

I have, on OSMC, the same problem I’ve had with OpenElec and just plain Kodi on Raspbian. Stuff plays ok if you just press play and leave it, but if you play a video, then play a second one, sometimes Kodi stops responding to Kore (the Android remote for Kodi). With a keyboard plugged in I can see that Kodi hasn’t crashed.

Are there some steps I could take to see what is going on when Kore is ignored?

To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information, including logs from you. Our wiki contains detailed steps for providing the relevant info we need to help you.

Thanks. I’ll do this when I have a log file where the problem is reproducable.

I had a good play around yesterday and couldn’t repeat anything really odd (crash/reboot). It is fairly easy to get the remote to become unresponsive but if you leave it 10-30 seconds it always recovers.

Is there a way of limiting Kodi to use only 3 cores? I’ve noticed that when the remote temporarily stops responding, any SSH sessions freeze (but don’t get disconnected). The onscreen debug info shows that only 20% cpu is being used.
