Raspberry pi 1 not having enough power to play music in OSMC with visualization and BT keyboard

Hi,

Just installed the Nov 15 release on a pi1. I noticed that when I play music, pi hardlocks up (permanent freeze) after about 30 min or so. Doesn’t seem to happen to movie playback. This happens to both of my pi 1. I tried unplug the BT adapter, and then music finally works. Thus I suspect the pi doesn’t have enough juice, and ends in hardware failure

Has this happen to anyone else? The power adapter I’m using comes from a pi1 kit I purchased from Amazon. Since the kit got higher seller rating, I thought I would be getting decent parts. It is 5V 1A output, made in China.

Does anyone uses 2A output adapter for pi 1?

That’s definitely not strong enough. It should definitely be a regulated 2A version.

I think that feature was introduced with the B+
