It sounds like you pulled the plug, when osmc was formatting/setting up partitions during the initial boot.
If its not borked the card all together you may able to start a fresh with:
Also it sound like their maybe an issue with your microsd-USB adapter, if you can try another sd/microsd adaptor.

Wellā¦ it also FAILS to format
If this was the fault of the OSMC installer, there would be a hundred posts on this forum about it. You should run h2testw on the card to confirm itās issues. H2testw | heise Download
Sounds more and more like a failed card. Get a new one.
Hi,
You probably need to check the card using another sd adaptor.
You could also check the partition table under disk management
Disk Management is used to format and make other drive changes in Windows. Here is how to open Disk Management in Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, Vista, and XP.
Thanks Tom.
Well tomā¦ I know how to use the disk manager but it ALSO FAILS.
if it sounds like a failed card, what tools can i use to fix it? i have to get the pi ready by monday
You cannot fix a failed card. Itās a hardware failure. Replace it.
Your car keys are probably the best tool at his point. Get in the car and drive to the Walmart. Even with no receipt, you can probably get to swapped for a new card.
