Hi there
I’m having a slight problem of a weird nature.
I passed on my old Raspberry Pi 1 model B to my girlfriend, as I upgraded to a RPi 2 about a year ago; not that I really needed to, as the old one performed pretty amazing still with OSMC, but I thought what the hell …
Anyway, I hooked up the RPi to her LCD tv and all was dandy for a long time. And I had the “Adjust display frame rate” settings on “always”, just like I did on my projector back home, which changed frame rate perfectly, as it was supposed to.
Then suddenly (and I dont know whether this was related to an OSMC update, but I dont even think so) I started getting a blackout screen, when playing back a movie. I’ve tried, amongst other things, to press the “toggle GUI fullscreen” button on my remote, which makes the movie appear, but of course with the menu overlay at the same time. So the movie is actually playing back “underneath the black screen” so to speak, but not getting through to the tv. The only thing, that works is setting “Adjust display frame rate” to “off”, which is of course kind of annoying, because of all the judder, it induces because of most movies being 23.976 fps.
So, what puzzles me is that it worked and then suddenly stopped working?!
Could there be some HDMI settings, that can cause the tv to not respond to the frame rate change correctly, or what is at play here? I am of course fully updated to the current OSMC version, plus I tried a complete reinstall as well, but to no avail …
Any and all suggestions are very welcome
Thanx in advance!
