Remove source in file browser / Library update

I have added a source to the file browser through the GUI (Movies/Files/Add Videos).

I added my USB drive folders. /mnt/HDD/Complete/Movies, but I have made a few mistakes and I now seem to have about 4 directories pointing to the same filepath. I also had a misnamed movie in there which ash picked up wrong in the library.

I want to remove the directories and start again. I have renamed the movie according to the OSMC conventions. I also understand that I need to invoke the context menu to delete - how would I do this on the original skin?

I have ‘updated’ the library but it still seems stuck with the incorrect one despite my filename now being fixed. Any ideas? Can I manually correct the library entry?

Hope someone will find this if needed but I managed to get to the sources.xml hidden file via SSH and deleted all the sources and re-added them.

My only oustanding issue seems to be that I have the following directories setup:

  • mnt/HDD/complete/Movies
  • mnt/HDD/complete/TV

Both are the ones I have mapped named TV and Movies. The Movies folder has 2 movies in which are both picked up correctly by the library and they all look fine. A 3rd movie is picked up and pulled in called ‘The Movies (1925)’ It is clearly linked to the movies naming convention somehow, but is there a way to remove this from the library?

The TV directory on the other hand is struggling to pickup completely. I have a feeling it is due to the fact that it has listings as follows:

mnt/HDD/complete/TV/season name/episode 1 folder/episode 1

As it is a layer deeper than the movies I think this is causing some issue - how would I combat this issue?

That’s entirely possible as your folder structure appears to be outside of Kodi’s own specification of supported folder structures! http://kodi.wiki/view/Naming_video_files/TV_shows

Further, all of this is completely dependent on Kodi behavior, OSMC has no bearing on Kodi’s behavior! If you need further support on issues dependent on Kodi, seek support on their forums. Kodi Community Forum
