Raspberry Pi 2, ethernet static IP address and linear 5V PSU @ 3Amp with SATA hard drive.
I had problems last year, thought the SDcard was kaput but reloaded in January 2019 and all has been well. (Looks like the FAT boot partition was corrupt).
I’ve had at least 2 or 3 updates. Today there was a message updates have been downloaded but not installed, click ok to install (or similar words).
All i have now is a sad face, cycling to a black screen then sad face again.
I can access via ssh and have tried:
mv .kodi kodibak
After reboot same problem.
After reading wikipage:
I used
sudo systemctl mediacenter stop
If I try to start kodi I get:

The illegal instruction coincides with sad face, then screen cycles black
and tries to start kodi with sad face.
