Was wondering if there was a preferred method of shutdown or if pulling the power while Kodi is idling at the main menu is safe.
Use Power Off in the shutdown menu, and then wait until it finishes activity before you pull power

Although you will often get away with it, pulling the power without shutting down will eventually corrupt the file system and is not recommended.
Alright, thanks. Will try to shutdown properly whenever possible. Most of the time I was pulling the power because of a system freeze though which prevents me from doing so.
