"Scan to Library" not working

Hi;

I’ve enjoyed OSMC for a while now, and must say you guys are doing excellent work.

Recently i had the SD-card on mye Pi3 start acting up on me, so i have had a lot of reinstall lately. And following this, alot of fresh scanning of media sources. Some of the folders/tvshows i have on my media source has names that does not immediately get a hit from thetvdb, but i have usually got around this with a manual “Scan to Library”.

This functionallity does not seem to be working any more.

I turned on debug logging and this is the relevant output when bring up the Options-meny, and go up once to get to the bottom and then select “Scan to Lilbrary” :

In contrast, this is the output when selecting “Scan for new media” from the same media (options, up, up, select, i have masked the shows name and paths to media sources)

Not sure if this is a OSMC issue, a kodi issue or if im doing somethine wrong
But it looks like the meny-item simply doesnt do anything. As a work around, i looks like a nfo file should get the trick done. But it is annoying none the less.

Anyone else see this problem?

EDIT: Im using the latest 07-2017 build of OSMC. I dont think i saw this problem i 06.

I have exactly the same problem with a Vero 4K. Manually selecting Scan to Library on TV shows in files view now does nothing at all. :frowning:

Full debug logs might give some clues.

I assume you would like it as “small” as possible, so a should i restart OSMC and then try to Scan to Library? (with Debug and eventlogging on) and then attach it here?

Regression in Kodi 17.4 - the devs said they found a possible root cause.

I’m following this closely.

Seems like a fix is being backported:

Hi,

That’s right. I will pick that fix shortly.

Can confirm that this is fixed in the September update!

Thanks alot Sam!

Thank you for confirming

Hi new user here.

First I wanna say Im blown away by what this tiny thing does, everything is running smooth.
I have been working hard for a week now renaming about 9000 files due to me having my own system for 15 years and it wasnt very compatible lol.

So there is actuallly only 2 files I cannot scrape and I also cannot use the “scan to library” (seems to go in a loop).

My question is only if this is supposedly fixed or if you are looking for a way to adress it as we speak. Its not a priority, but I would like to be able to add manually in the future.

Create a local .nfo file for them

I could do that, but also want to know if the endless loop problem is supposedly adressed (and there is a problem on my end) or if the matter is put to the side.

Well it was confirmed as fixed, wasn’t it?

I wasnt sure if it was pure kodi or vero update but yeah it says “thanks Sam” so your right. I will find out the right way to upload logfiles etc.

It works with my own NFO`s woho. 100% complete now.
