Scraping Movies works, however for TV Shows & Music does not?

Ive followed instructions for adding videos and music to the library, scraping works for Movies (cover art, descriptions and label appears in main menu) however it doesnt for TV Shows or Music.

  • All media located on the same external USB hdd connected through a hub
  • All media is stored accorting to naming conventions for movies (movie[date]), Tv (show.Sn.En), music (artist.album.trackn.name.)
  • Previous scraping in RaspBMC and OpenELEC for all worked fine.
  • Labels for Tv and Music appear and reflect contents in Files but no main menu label.

Assistance would be appreciated to solve this issue and how to remove/add links on the main menu please?

Providing logs is the best way to see what the problem is.

I went and used to Log Uploader, but it does not seem to have worked. I shall have to try a different way to get hold of the logs.

Ok, so I thought I had done something wrong, so I installed from scratch again and followed the steps as per pretty much every discussion I have found so far on the forum here (thanks to those who participate, Im hoping to do more as I know more).

Movies - follow the instructions > create location for USB drive > contents set to movie > ok

  • Starts searching, finds movies, adds label to main menu “Movies” (as I had named it)

TV Shows - follow instructions > create location for USB drive . contents set to UV Show > ok

  • Starts searching, stops within 5 secs, does not add label to main menu “TV Shows” (as I had named it)

When searching through Videos > Files > There is a “Movies” link and a “TV Shows” link, and they both lead where the files are, showing folders (named per Kodi rules) and I can access and play them. However there is still no link for “TV Shows” in the main menu, TV Shows box art does not display as in the Movies section, no desciptions, no updated names.

It seems the search doesnt happen at all?

If someone could shed some light I would appreciate that very much.

Ok so Ive been through the kodi/xbmc wiki, Ive been through the OSMC read only forums.

Ive been through settings>appearance>skin>settings and tried other skins.

Still no link ( though the link is showing as there in settings) & still no tv data.

Completely stumped now and about to give up.

Can you please paste the contents of your sources.xml file?

That file was included in the first pastebin upload and had not changed since then.

I finally have the Movies and TVshows working, but the Music link points to a music folder and not the music, thus:

Currently - Music > music > artist view

Trying to - Music > artist view

Could someone point me to where I can do this please? Ive tried the Kodi Wiki to no avail and Ive started from scratch, followed naming rights, followed the wiki and I cant get it to just work. Im starting to think it might be a skin issue?

Thanks
