Season watched status not updating

After completing a TV season, the folder’s watched status is not updating. If 2 seasons contain only watched episodes and one of the two is manually set to “watched”, the other is automatically updated as well.
I’m running on RPi2 using a SQL database library, and using a networked installation.

Does anyone have an idea why this is not working properly?

Seems to be a bug in Kodi 17.x - I noticed this as well that a view will not update the watched status after playing an episode even though it was properly marked as watched in my SQL DB. Have not investigated further in which views the update is not happening though.
