I’m trying to download OSMC for the first time and the download rate is so slow around 40kB/s, its taking forever.

Is this normal (it’s not my end I’m on a fibre connection) ?

Depending on your location the connection speed can vary. I see you are on Plusnet (so I assume you are UK based). We have good UK coverage here. You could try downloading a file directly from http://download.osmc.tv to see if that is the issue.

Yes, that flew down as normal, I’ll try writing the disk image.
