Not sure if I get the version topics right, but it looks like the repository version is older then the latest patched ones.
Was trying to install SNMPD but when starting it getting an erro that pcilib: Cannot open /proc/bus/pci which is obvious as the PI doesn’t have a PCI bus.

The version that get’s installed when doing a apt-get install snmpd is 5.7.2.1+dfsg-1
How can get the patched version 5.7.2.1~dfsg-5 installed?
Is this on a Pi 1 or 2?

thats on a Pi2
Just tested it on a PI1 while the error message is also in the logfiles it seems to work. Will test a bit more.
Ok, now it is working on the PI1 and PI2. Actually I had an error in the authorization module.
The error/warning about PCI still appears but snmpd runs without issue
