(SOLVED) "Add videos" not visible under Files

I’m following the guide here to add a network drive mounted via fstab. But when I go to Videos/Files, there’s no option “add videos” where I could add the new source. What gives? I’m using Estuary theme.

What do you see when you go to >Videos>Files? Did you try hitting the .. selection in that menu?

Yes, I did, the higher level includes TV Shows, Files, Playlists and Video add-ons.

The original level only shows Auto-mounted drives (empty), and two other sources which have already been scraped and list all the videos in those sources.

Do you get the same behavior if you enable the OSMC skin?

Yes.

I’m not aware of any other users that have encountered such an issue. I’m not sure that debug logs would expose anything that could explain such a problem either. If it were me, I would start by stopping kodi, renaming my .kodi directory, and restarting with a fresh Kodi config to see if the issue persisted.

Go to settings>media>general>show “add source” buttons> and enabled it

Lol… I’ve never imagined myself having a need for that toggle, hence I’ve long forgotten it existed…

Thank you, again  That fixed it. It’s been years since I’ve toggled that off so didn’t remember it was even an option.
