TV not supported

Changed resolution to higher than what my TV allows. Tv now says not supported. Osmc did not go back to previous setting. How can I change back without resetting osmc completely?

If you changed it in Kodi settings then edit /home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/guisettings.xml I’m not sure which line to edit, hopefully you can figure it out and let us know

Alternatively you can delete/rename the guisettings file and reboot, this will set all Kodi settings to default.

Just had a look, maybe here: <videoscreen> <blankdisplays default="true">false</blankdisplays> <fakefullscreen default="true">true</fakefullscreen> <limitedrange default="true">false</limitedrange> <limitgui default="true">0</limitgui> <monitor default="true">Default</monitor> <preferedstereoscopicmode default="true">100</preferedstereoscopicmode> <resolution default="true">16</resolution> <screen default="true">0</screen> <screenmode default="true">DESKTOP</screenmode> <stereoscopicmode default="true">0</stereoscopicmode> <textures32 default="true">true</textures32> <vsync default="true">2</vsync> </videoscreen>

Probably easier to just rename it. But unfortunately I have no idea how to do that. I’m new to Linux and the Pi.

ssh into the PI then to rename it

sudo systemctl stop mediacenter
sudo mv /home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/guisettings.xml /home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/guisettings.xml.bak
sudo reboot

or to edit it

nano /home/osmc/.kodi/userdata/guisettings.xml
