hello everyone. thanks for accepting me.
i have a little problem that is bugging me a lot:
i used to have openelec kodi on my raspberry. but after an hardware change ( petrockblog powerblock powerplate), i have migrated to osmc. its smooth, light and the powerblock works on it!
i made a backup of my huge films an tvshow list, and tried to import to osmc.
now my problem beggins: some tv shows are missing. most of them came back after a library update, but there is a few ones that dont come back, no matter what i try. the folder names correspond to the tvdb.com page, episodes are all renamed exactly as the absolute order on tvdb, tried to export the folder informations from the other computers i have as single and re-update the library ( it have inserted the poster, at least) but no way to scrape it properly.
can someone redirect me to a tutorial to manually copy the xml and where i can paste it on osmc? thanks in advance for your help
You can export and import your library via Kodi.
already tryed, with the xml coming from 2 different computers (openelec), but still the same. just in case, the tv show i must put is “La Bande à Picsou”. kids are driving me crazy because tgey can’t see it anymore… i am making a new install. just finishing to install tge power plate before import tge xml again to try.
thank you for your answer. at least there is someone ti abswer
Have you tried the tvshow.nfo
method? If you’re not familiar with it: create a tvshow.nfo
file containing the exact URL to the show’s page on thetvdb (in this case DuckTales - TheTVDB.com) and place it in the root folder of the show. This trick has helped me with some stubborn shows that won’t scrape properly.
hello. just tried now. i’ve erased the nfo that was on the root, made a new one. it shows the poster, the description, but no episodes. i’ve installed kodi on the phone, imported the xml, and worked immediately… i must be cursed or something…
plop. just a little feedback. after two weeks, i dont know why, it reappeared… all the missing tv shows came back. so i think the problem is solved… thanks for your help
