Twitch Live streams not working since upgrade

Hi All,

Apologies if this has already been covered (i did look)

I’ve had the Twitch app from the official Kodi repo installed for over a year with no issues. (oAuth configured as well for certain subscription restrictions)

However since i upgraded to Krypton the live streams started to gradually not work, which is odd in itself as if it was going to break i’d expect it to be all of them at once. However as of a couple of days ago none of my live streams work.

Past broadcasts are still working fine.

I compared this to the twitch website and all the live streams were functioning correctly.

Following advice from OSMC on twitter i have enabled inputstream, both adaptive and RTMP, but the issue remains.

The Kodi log shows:
ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [plugin://plugin.video.twitch/playLive/yogscast/-2/]
NOTICE: [xbmcswift2] Request for “/playLive/yogscast/-2/” matches rule for function “playLive”

Any suggestions on how to fix this would be awesome, i’m not sure who to ask OSMC, Kodi or Twitch

Hi,

It seems others are having a similar issue with twitch:

If this is the only addon your are having issues, I would speak to the addon provider; or try in the kodi forum as its in the kodi repository.

Just to let everyone know, as per the discussion on github the upgrade to twitch 2.0 fixed all my problems.

Looks like it has just been released to everyone as well.
