Ugreen DH2300 NAS OSMC/Kodi 21.3

Hi everyone…
I’m thinking about buying a NAS:
Ugreen DH2300 + 4TB HDD

I wanted to ask if anyone here uses it—specifically with OSMC/Kodi—and whether it runs smoothly or if there have been any issues.

Please share your experiences.

Thanks.

I don’t know how much traction your going to get on this particular forum asking about only a specific device. If the product is deemed good at other sites for other types of use then there should be no concerns with it streaming content to a Vero. The demand that serving video on a LAN puts on is quite low. I think the focus for you should be more along the lines of if you actually need one for your use case and making sure you understand exactly how these work. If you only put a single drive in then there is little benefit for pure Kodi use over just having a drive plugged directly into a Vero. If your interested in the data redundancy aspect then you might consider a mirrored drive isn’t a backup and if going with a mirror consider that you lose half your capacity whereas going with an array with more drives this can be reduced significantly.

No issues streaming to a Vero V from a NAS here although mine is a Synology DS923+.

Hi,

UGreen NAS products seem to work fine.
I’ve picked a couple up for testing and while it seems UGreen are working out software bugs and issues, there isn’t a problem connecting them to OSMC

Cheers

Thanks, Sam.
I need to get up to speed on this first;
I’ve never really worked with networks before—
at least not to this extent.
But the Ugreen makes a good impression; I’ve picked one up now.
I’ve already tested it with the Shield, too, and
was really impressed.

But I’m quite confident that everything will run smoothly with the Vero V—and if not, it’s usually user error… laughs…
