Update from Kodi 14

Hello *,
can pls someone help me updating from Kodi 14 (jessie) to a more recent version?

sudo apt update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

tells me I’m up to date.

dpkg -l | grep mediacenter-osmc | awk '{ print $3 }'
14.2.0-15

You would need to reinstall from one of the recent Images. An upgrade from Jessie to Buster is not supported.

Does it make sense to reinstall a new image on a pi1? I am worried that the board is too slow.

IIRC Pi1 is not supported at all with the latest image.

Latest available version for the Pi1 is Kodi v18 and it runs kind of OK performance wise. As you can use different SD Cards to try the new version just give it a go.
