Usb sound card not recognized

Hey there

I have a Pi 2B and put osmc on it. I also have a spare usb soundcard

And a 5.1 sorround sound system. Unfortunately my pi does not recognize the card. I was hoping to put those relics to use again.

Any idea how i can make it work?

I doubt that the driver for this card is part of OSMC, but to verify post the URL of dmesg | paste-log

There it is
http://paste.osmc.io/umuqosodim

There is your soundcard, you just have to enable him in OSMC, under system, Sounddevice

12.537086] usb 1-1.5: new full-speed USB device number 7 using dwc_otg [ 12.834048] usb 1-1.5: New USB device found, idVendor=041e, idProduct=3040 [ 12.834074] usb 1-1.5: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 [ 12.834106] usb 1-1.5: Product: SB Live! 24-bit External [ 12.834117] usb 1-1.5: Manufacturer: Creative Technology

Problem is that it doesnt show up there.
I got
Pi hdmi
Pi analog
Pi hdmi and analog
Alsa osmc streaming to bluetooth speaker

But no entry for the usb sound card

I’m not one of the Experts but I had the same card a few months ago on the Rpi2 with OSMC and it worked out of the box…

Maybe the Bluetooth device has a conflict with your soundcard?
Maybe if you disconnect the Blootooth device you find the Alsa: SBLive! 24bit External S/Pdif

Tried that. Doesnt work sadly

I just plugged the card in to have a look. The blue Power light goes on and without restarting the Pi I have this:

That’s all I can offer you to help!

I reinstalled osmc and it seems to work
