Vero 2 as Mediawiki Server

Hi
My Network Design
I use a Synology DS1515+ (with DX Extension) as heart of my system. Like NAS, also for PVR ( TVheadend , now DVBLink ), and some other tasks, like web server and Wiki (Mediawik).
Vero 2 is my Media center with Kodi.
That’s works fine (the most of time). Now I’ve trouble after Update to Synology DSM 6.x to update/setup my Mediawiki to Mediawiki 1.27 on Synology DS1515+.
One solution is to make a fresh install, but I’ve a lot of items in my Wiki.
Also create a fresh install from Mediawiki (1.27) on Vero 2 and (if it’s works) migrate the “Synology” wiki, perhaps a good way.

My Question:
Somebody has try to use Vero2 like Mediawiki Server ??

Merci par avance
Michael

Hi

I think MediaWiki just runs on MySQL, PHP and Apache or nginx. All of these packages are available in APT, so you should be able to run it off the Vero 2 fine

Sam

Hi Sam
I think also that MySql, Apache etc wasn’t the problem. It’s more for features like WikiEditor Toolbar with Javascripts Features.
Perhaps somebody has try it…
When not i make a test installation next week.
Ciao
Michael

It will run as a server without a problem, I would expect. I’m not sure what the performance will be like, but you could try it out and report back

performance it’s only a private wiki, with 1 or 2 users.
I report back next week.
