Been a good year and half with the Vero 4k+ but now I have some issues.
After the last update I lost the ability to login via the web interface, I do get a login popup but no credentials work. I still have access via ssh. I’ve basically ignored the web login issue as I rarely used it.
Main problem is that I received a blue sad face crash earlier and now the menu is not working. When I go into TV shows, for example, all of the show titles are there but the display incorrectly claims I’ve seen them all and there are 0 seasons (which is probably why it thinks they’ve been fully viewed).
The shows are, of course, really available (via NFS) and I can view them drilling down via Video/Files, however even there the device thinks they have all been viewed.
Would like to get these issues sorted, and hopefully somehow retain my previous watched status.
Thank you,
Chris
Web interface login sorted.
Problems after crash still remain.
Well could be that your migration of the database went wrong. You could try to delete the new database file and then migration will happen again.
But I suggest first upload full logs via grab-logs -A so to see if everything else went fine.
I think it has been about a couple of weeks since the update and migration and all was fine. It was this weird crash “out of the blue” that occurred earlier this eve and after a restart the problem showed up.
Well then your best bet might still be to migrate again from the old DB. You can also check the DB status before.
Guess I’ll have to research rebuilding the database.
Is there a file that should contain the watched files that I can backup first?
If I delete the newer db files, a new migration solves the problem but I’m left with an out of date watched status.
Is there a way to check and possibly rebuild the corrupt database (I have copies)?
Watched status is within each database. You can use sqlite editor to review.
