My Vero V started an odd “crash” about a two weeks ago. We’ll be watching a movie or TV show and suddenly the audio and video stops and the screen goes black . I can push buttons on the remote and I can hear the sound like you selected a stop at the bottom of a list. I cannot get any video back when I try to go “home”. I have to unplug power to get the unit to reboot. I may get this to happen 2-4 times a day a number that has been increasing.
I never saw anything like this on my Vero 4k+.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Bill
Are the 4K + and V using the same HDMI connector on the TV and cable?
I’d start there
No. The 4k+ is not connected at this time.
To get a better understanding of the problem you are experiencing we need more information from you. The best way to get this information is for you to upload logs that demonstrate your problem. You can learn more about how to submit a useful support request here.
Depending on the used skin you have to set the settings-level to standard or higher, in summary:
-
enable debug logging at settings->system->logging
-
reboot the OSMC device twice(!)
-
reproduce the issue; please, don’t reboot the Vero before uploading the logs
-
upload the log set (all configs and logs!) by the ssh
method invoking command grab-logs -A
-
publish the provided URL from the log set upload, here
Thanks for your understanding. We hope that we can help you get up and running again shortly.
