The Wiki probably needs to be updated, as I think the OSMC team has opted not to do monthly updates anymore. They do updates when it makes sense. If you are using something other than the OSMC skin, you won’t get notifications about the updates (at least I don’t using Estuary), but you can go to the MyOSMC addon to see if there are updates that are ready to apply (if you are auto downloading them but not applying them) or do a manual scan to see what’s available.
You can always check the OSMC blog for information on updates.
The last one for the Vero V (which is definitely not EOL) was November 2025, so about six months ago. In the last year there were updates in March 2025, August 2025, and November 2025.
If you look at threads here in the forum, you will see work is continuing on another update for some Dolby Vision related things.
The Estuary skin that ships with My OSMC gets update notifications for sure. I don’t see why all other skins wouldn’t get them as well as long as the notice settings are enabled in the My OSMC addon.
Just a bit of added info to what pkscout posted. On the rare occasion that someones device does stop updating, often it can be fixed by connecting to it from a PC via ssh and running the following command… sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade && reboot
You’re right. I’d forgotten I disabled the notification because (if I’m remembering correctly) it’s a modal dialog box, and I didn’t like getting a notification that forced me to close it. Not that I can think of a better way to do a persistent notification that doesn’t require skin support…
