Now the blue light comes on for about 5 seconds or so and then turns off. No video output. I tried restarting a couple of times and unplugged peripherals, but still nothing. Has anyone else experienced this?
Hi, this is a completely unusual situation. Let’s start with some basic troubleshooting:
- First, you should unplug any devices connected to the USB ports.
- Have you tried a different HDMI cable?
- Have you tried a different HDMI port on your TV?
- Is there another device in your household with an HDMI port—such as another TV or a PC monitor—that you can use for testing?
- Can you still access the Vero V via SSH, for example using a terminal program like PuTTY?
- Have you already tried reinstalling the Vero V using an SD card or USB stick? See Reinstalling OSMC - Vero V - OSMC

Good advice, but I wouldn’t recommend PuTTY to anyone who hasn’t used it before. Just get a terminal on a PC and ssh osmc@<ipaddressofVero> where , `<ipaddressofVero>` something like 192.168.1.8, if not known, can be found from the list of clients on your router.

The blue light is meant to turn on for a couple of seconds and then turn off to indicate a successful boot. This doesn’t mean the unit is malfunctioning.
I will keep an eye on this and follow this thread after you respond to what @JimKnopf has suggested.

Everything is working fine now.
I’m not entirely sure what happened, but maybe a loose connection? I unplugged the power, then the HDMIs from the Vero and to my AVR. Then reconnected everything and powered back up and all is well.
Sorry for prematurely raising the alarm, but this does make me think of something. How do I go about registering my product if i ever need to file a warranty claim?

I don’t think there’s a registration system. If you bought it from this site, then that’s enough. Just keep your order number.
