Vero4K remote is also IR capable?

I like the Vero4k remote a lot. It’s well thought out.

Is the Vero4K remote also IR (infrared) capable? It does have the typical red plastic front…
Could it learn to turn on/off my LG TV?

Hi,

The remote is RF based (which is why you need the USB dongle) for it to work.
CEC might let you control the TV and Vero 4K with one remote (TV remote) but LG’s CEC implementation leaves much to be desired.

Hi,

in additional to this and maybe an alternative solution. Would it be possible to put the dongle in the tv and use it for the tv and control vero 4k via CEC? I have a Sony x850c android tv so that would be convenient to use vero’s remote instead of original IR remote.

You might be able to, but you’ll still need a way to control your Vero 4K.

Not sure whether your Android TV allows USB input devices, but the best way is to try it. You might need to power cycle the TV after plugging in the dongle.
