I’ve been using osmc on an rpi3 for about 2 weeks now using the Kore app as a remote control. Yesterday I updated the system and installed samba (I also downloaded some movies) and after that, whenever I start a movie all the web interfaces including the app and ssh stops working. Restarting the rpi solves the problem until the next time I start a movie. I have since removed samba, but the problem persists.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this and how to solve it?

I haven’t heard of this problem, but this may be caused by a power drop when you start to play a movie. It sounds like your sytem is locking up or freezing. There were some issues with that recently, so make sure that your system is fully up to date first.

Hi,
I updated osmc, there was only some curl stuff that needed to be updated. Unplugged the external HD and tried playing a movie from the SD card. It worked so I tried plugging the HD in again and now it works. It might be a power drop and if this keeps happening I’ll get a powered usb hub for the HD, but for now it’s working again…
