Wifi issue since last update (December 2015)

Hello guys !

I have an issue with my Pi2.
I was running osmc with plex flawless, and suddenly without any modification I have lost internet connexion.

I have a wi-pi wifi dongle (and I have try with the one from a friend) and no maters what I have tryed I don’t have access to internet.

So far, this is the clue I have gathering.

  • Don’t seem to come from power issue
<< As when I go to configure wifi I can see my network and the others around

  • I have seen than the network information are not the same
    << My configuration is 192.168.1.x
    but its becomes 192.168.3.x

  • The menu seems frozen and lag, take several time before update the asking menu (only in network menu)
<< Weird as its never do that to me before.

  • I have try a fresh install from the installer, issue still there and lag in menu also (only on network menu).
<< Tryed on different compatible sd
<< tryed also with older version of osmc (october)
<< After fresh restart going back to network menu and stuck in there, can go to “Wired” to “Mysql” but can’t come back to main menu (like if exit menu button wasn’t fonctional)

  • I have tryed to connect to the internet though wired
<< The automatic set up take an eternity even if the configuration is ok (right ip and dns) but status still the same ( etho0 (No internet) and unable to get back to main menu forcing to unplug power (probably meaning don’t keep last modifications).
<< No modification either from my internet box, so I don’t think its come from there.

Well this is it, I try to do my best reading other thread about wifi issue, but don’t see the same problem, and i’m kinda lost…Any help ?

Thank you ! Sorry for my bad english and happy new year from France !

Thx Toast, this is my log : http://paste.osmc.io/pudahevozo.dos
Hope its can help !

i see some I/O errors on the wifi that could be the result of a dodgy power supply easiest way to make sure your power supply gives out the right amount of power is a little app for android called Ampere on Androids Playstore

How do you draw that conclusion ?

Your logs show lots of usb_disconnect events - unless you are manually unplugging and replugging the device all the time, this will be a lack of power. Check your power adaptor.
