Hi,
I have been testing the onboard wifi of a PI3 and an external wifi dongle.
They both only seem to negotiate 72Mb with the AP (which is capable of faster speeds).
The external dongle is supposedly rated to 150Mb but I can’t get it above 72Mb either.
Are there any settings that can get the adapter to negotiate higher?
thanks

Which Channel have you configured on your router? 150Mb need 40 Mhz which only works on specific channels
I correct myself 150 Mbit doesn’t need 40Mhz, but it still might be a channel issue.
Wireless LAN (WLAN) channels are frequently accessed using IEEE 802.11 protocols, and equipment that does so is sold mostly under the trademark Wi-Fi. Other equipment also accesses the same channels, such as Bluetooth. The radio frequency (RF) spectrum is vital for wireless communications infrastructure.
The 802.11 standard provides several distinct radio frequency bands for use in Wi-Fi communications: 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 3.6 GHz, 4.9 GHz, 5 GHz, 5.9 GHz, 6 GHz and 60 GHz. Each range is divided ...
