With RP2 when playing a movie, no image, stays on the movie selection page

all was fine but suddenly when selecting a movie to play, no image, (stays on the movie selection page), sound flaps.
not related to a specific movie file.

Default GPUmem split is 256mb on Pi2 running OSMC. Video will never run on 64mb.
