This is a very time consuming process which I’d rather avoid – at this time, I wasted more hours on this than the Vero4K is worth; can you please explain what purpose that would solve? You have three sets of identical logs, what would this add?

It’s seen as full speed, then it starts dying:
usb 1-1: new full-speed USB device number 2 using xhci-hcd
xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: xHCI host not responding to stop endpoint command.
xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: Assuming host is dying, halting host.
xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: Host not halted after 16000 microseconds.
xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: Non-responsive xHCI host is not halting.
xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: Completing active URBs anyway.
xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: HC died; cleaning up
xhci-hcd xhci-hcd.0.auto: Timeout while waiting for a slot
As mentioned above, “lsusb” shows nothing – it locks while the USB driver resets, then it just shows the hubs (if even that).
The other adapter is not seen at all or even acknowledged to exist.

Try plugging it in after a cold boot on the Vero 4K
Do not restart.
