Support for the new version Widevine 4.10.2252.0
I think this is a good reason to upgrade to the Debian bullseye
If I understand correctly without updating to bulsaye, raspberry pi users may lose DRM support at any time
am I right?

There are some patches that need to be done to Kodi aswell, so just because you got bullseye, you wont get the new Widevine versions to work.
edit: which means a new kodi.bin needs to be rebuilt, and that’s were a lot the work needs to be done. But things like samba-package (smb-app-osmc), witch shares automounted USB-connected drives, has a python component based on 2.7. It will have to be rewritten, and I think there are issues with exfat automounts too, since bullseye they are not writeable, like they used to with fuse. That from the top of my head…
systemd 247 is available via buster-backports.
Same goes for openssh. It doesn’t help for gcc or python3, unfortunately.
