Hi JimKnopf.

Thanks for your help. I don´t know if my router is wrong configured; My Lan skills are very poor.

But still, the only connected device with this problem is Vero. I have another three Kodi installed on android and windows running perfectly. I can use my two Nas boxes from windows, linux and android with no problem.

It is very annoying. I have used Vero since years ago in the very same setup flawlessly. And some android kodi boxes previously. The problem started a month ago. No hardware change at all.

The cause could be my internet provider doing a remote update of my router that broke the DHCP routes the way Vero needs?.

While their might be some Netbios name resolution happening it would still be interesting what your windows boxes reports to ipconfig /all

Unless you can tell your router to give out the correct Nameserver your best option might be to change OSMC from using DHCP to static

Ok means your windows machines are also getting the public DNS servers. So they just do Netbios Name Resolution.

My recommendations:

  1. Configure OSMC with static IP and configure your router as DNS server
  2. Use for your source IP addresses or use path substitution
  3. Make a manual host entry on OSMC that resolves the names to the IPs

Hi all!. SOLVED.

I bought a new Vero, V version and….the problem was the same :roll_eyes: , so the obvious culprit was the router.

I changed my router and voila! All is fine now.

If anyone is interested, my old router was a Comtrend and the new one is TpLink.
