I’ve seen this undim problem behaviour 3 times lately when i switch TV on screen wont undim/screen is frozen. Mouse wont work. Only can SSH in.
I wonder if my case is similar to this thread problem ?

The bug fixed above is when the screen saver won’t undim but Kodi is otherwise working and responding.
If Kodi is completely frozen you have a different issue, so please start a new thread for that.

It doesn’t seem like this bug ever got fixed…either that or a new bug in Jarvis 16.0 was created. I’ve tried multiple screensavers and all of them stay dimmed even though I can unpause the video.
The fix is in Jarvis (https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/8179)
Your issue is different.
You say “unpause the video” - are you talking about the dim that occurs when video is paused for a while?
That doesn’t use the screensaver, it only dims.
You’ll have to explain exactly how to reproduce the error you are seeing.
i have obtain this issue right now on my pi2.
need to restart mediacenter by ssh to fix this…
also tryed to disable or change the screensaver and it’s not resolve the issue…
