I can confirm that the issue is fixed with ‘4.4.27-1-osmc’.
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
should be resulting in rbp2-image-4.4.27-1-osmc.
You may wish to leave the staging repository now. I also resolved the splash screen issue.
