Inputstream.adaptive crash after October update

I also have to add that the current code of VTM GO is broken, due to some changes they made. There is an open merge request with code that works, so you can checkout that branch if you like.

Please comment on that merge request and let me know if this works for you.

No need for the full debian package, you can just replace the inputstream.adaptive.so.2.4.2 file.

Works splendidly!
I’ll be following up the github repo for future changes.

@sam_nazarko there finally is a new release of inputstream.adaptive for Leia with quite some useful fixes!

Release 2.4.3-Leia · xbmc/inputstream.adaptive · GitHub

Is it possible build a new mediacenter-osmc that would include this release?

We are waiting for Kodi v18.6 to be tagged (probably tonight).

Awesome!

Nice. The release 18.6 is tagged!

Sam, is the 18.6 release for the Vero something that is already-ready-to-go-but-waiting-for-official-tagging? or something that will require a few days/weeks of work before it’s ready? Reason I ask is that I use mysql on the fileserver, and do all the indexing from the kodi install there (faster because it’s got direct filesystem and database access and more horsepower). I’m tempted to let it upgrade, but fear 18.6 will introduce a video or music db version bump, leaving newly indexed stuff invisible to the vero until they are upgraded to match.

I doubt it

There are no changes to the database structure in this release, and I suspect there won’t be any for the rest of the Leia lifecycle.

@michael.arnauts , the VTMGo plugin seems to fail me since inputstream.adaptive is stuck on 2.4.2. Seems like it’s not updated in my repo.
Could you host the separate inputstream.adaptive.so.2.4.3 if you can?
Or, what is the proper way to have it installed through the Kodi repo?
I’ve tried uninstalling it, to no luck.
TIA

I got a new Kodi 18.6 with IA 2.4.3 on my Vero4K+. But some others on a RPI haven’t got the update.

I think @sam_nazarko knows more what platforms have received the update.

I’m still on 18.5 on my regular Vero. Awaiting patiently then, unless I can force the kodi update somehow? (I know the usual way through the My OSMC menu, but that doesn’t find the Kodi 18.6 update appareantly).

It sounds like you have the staging repository configured.
We will release Kodi v18.6 shortly.
