[Deprecated] Kodi 19 (Matrix) nightly builds for Raspberry Pi

Does it crash with every skin except OSMC Skin?
Checked through the logs and can’t find a cause.

I only have 3 skins (the ones that came with OSMC/Kodi) - and one is made for touch layouts so I didn’t mess with that one. I can give it a try later though just in case
Estuary - Crash
OSMC - no Crash

I also realized my question (and log) are pretty much toss aways since the log doesn’t show what in that process is actually crashing, my apologies there.
Would any of the other log options in the system perhaps shed more light on this?

I can’t seem to replicate the issue. Tried a few skins and no crashes in YouTube.

You could to clean setup in order to eliminate any addon issues.

Stop mediacenter, rename .kodi to .kodi.old and restart mediacenter.

Same here no crashes also tried Netflix.

@gmc when its time to move to python3 mind adding that in huge text so its easily noticeable

Will do

might wanna add it to OP too cause i expect people wont read as usual

renaming the .kodi folder didn’t resolve it - I will try a 100% clean format/install tomorrow. If you and Toast aren’t having issues, that gives me hope it’s just something on my own end to resolve

Got the same issue with the Estuary Skin.
As soon as i start playblack of a video and press any key on remote, that would bring up the player menu/navigation bar (like pause, ok or any directional to skip), it crashes/sad face. Pressing just stop button works. All other skins i tried so far are also working.
Last line in Kodi.log is same as Artlan’s has.

------ Window Init (DialogSeekBar.xml) ------

Fresh/empty .kodi folder didnt help and i even deleted Estuary skin from filesystem before reinstalling it again with latest mediaplayer version, just to make sure there’s not some old/stale/broken file messing it up, but still crashing.

Same here.

I think it must be due to this PR:

There are similar reports of crashing with a fix posted, so I’ll include it in the next nightly and see if it fixes the issue

unfortunately the fix for #15767 did not resolve the crashing issue for me - haven’t had a chance to try anything beyond updating to the nightly and trying a single video though.

Some really interesting patches @gmc

:frowning:
Will keep on digging.

Some interesting things up ahead. Will look at adding to the nightlies.

@gmc Okay - I take it back apparently. I just had what I thought was a NEW update on the system - and it DID fix the problem! Video navigation worked just fine!
Ran the version check and it is 18.8-37, so my earlier post must have been me just imagining I did the update when I woke up.

Thanks for the time you put into all of this (ALL of OSMC, not just this issue) and for the fixes
