Kodi freezing constantly after 15-20 minutes of playing songs

Understood. One workaround might be to use phpLiteAdmin with sqlite3.

I don’t use it myself, but it’s web-based, so no X11 issues.

OK ActionA, during these days of quarantine and with a lot of spare time, I’m changing my mind (only the stupids don’t do this :-)) for the reason you raised: I use Raspberry Pi only for Hifi stereo.
After a try with Raspbian with Kodi first and Plex after (horrible solutions), I’m installing Moode right now on the card. What do you think about that solution MPD/UPNP based? It seems one of the best among the free ones. Volumio is starting to have a quite elevated cost.

Best regards and thanks in advance

I’ve never used it, but I suspect, as it is purpose built as a “music” player, I’d expect it to perform better and with more efficiency than a platform that is designed to be viewed and interacted with on a large display and function as a “media” player.

Yesterday afternoon and evening I tried the 2 dedicated hifi music ready-to-go distro: Moode and Volumio.
They are ridiculous as they manage a very large music library (very sluggish) and above all as they deal with 2 USB hard disks with dedicated USB power supply. Practically unusable in my case.
I’m going back definitively to OSMC with SQLite3 and Yatse.
It remains the best combination.
