Update 5/29/17 10:53 AM: I turned on my Apple TV this morning. I was able to navigate the GUI, which was good. However, when I tried to have it play a video, it froze.
Update 10:56: I just rebooted, and now it plays videos.
Rebooted into submission. A bit like Windows. 
I guess it’s partially because I’m running OSMC on a first generation Apple T.V… My first generation Apple TV is from 2007. It has a 1 Ghz Pentium M CPU and 256 megabytes of RAM. Considering the pitiful amount of RAM, I’m just happy that it’s able to run OSMC at all. The nice thing about OSMC is is that it’s a modern HTPC operating system with modern security, and it’s light enough to be able to run on something as underpowered as my first generation Apple T.V.
