The box looks fixed (the interface is different and in the corner I see the “update available” logo). Remote died.

Good. Now just go to MyOSMC and force a manual update to clear the logo.

You’ll probably just have to be patient. There were some changes in Kodi that killed many remotes. I suspect they will be resolved with 17.1.

That’s better. The remote not working is a bit weird if it is the original one.

If you have a USB keyboard you could connect that to make sure everything else is working.

try
grab-logs -A

Maybe the ATV remote client is not loading for some reason.

What type of remote ? The original Apple Remote ? I know that is working fine for me.

How can I go to MyOSMC if the remote doesn’t works? (don’t have usb keyboard, just iPhone and mac)
Is not already update with all this coding?
Yep. Is the original Apple remote. And the battery was changed one month ago. Usually at least it makes a sound, but now is really dead :frowning:

I wonder if it is a pairing problem…
I once had the apple remote stop because of that.

I forget how to do that. :frowning:

Try the kodi remote app from app store, for now.
I need to step out for a bit.
Hopefully Sam can help. He has an ATV also. Most of the team don’t.

Thank you very much. You make my day. The koi remote app works. Just one last thing: is totally empty. where is the add on logo? Where can I download again all my staff?

What stuff are you talking about?

How do I pair and un-pair the Apple Remote with the ATV1?

You normally can leave your Apple remote unpaired, but sometimes your Apple remote will stop working because it is not paired with your ATV.

  • To “pair” the Apple remote, press both “Menu” and “Right/Fast Forward” buttons for more than 6 seconds.

  • To "un-pair" the Apple remote, press both "Menu" and "Left/Rewind" Buttons for more than 6 seconds.

You will see a message on the screen.

It says “remote already paired” but it still doesn’t work.

Try un-pairing it. It might think it’s aired to some other remote.
I leave mine unpaired.

YES! un-pairing it worked! Alleluia guys. You are an amazing team. I will never think to be able to fix my tvbox by myself. Thank you very much. Now I just need to find out how/where i can find my add ons. (I tried setting- add ons browser - … is there another discussion somewhere about it? I’m searching since one hour without any result)
