Hello DBMandrake,
thanks for the answer. I try to switch to static IP address. Is there any guide how I can do it without reinstall? I mean only OSMC side, server side I can do it. I saw that in the /boot/cmdline.txt (or something similar I have to do) is there any other places, what I have to change? On the OSMC UI network manager I tried it, but it was not working for me last time. Or reinstall is the safe way for this NFS install?
thanks and regards
Hello,
I reinstalled, went fine, with static ip address. Hope there won’t be more problem. I will be interested the solution for NFS install +DHCP.
Thanks and regards!
Glad to hear its working, investigating this issue further is on our to-do list, although it’s reasonably down the priority list as very few users (apparently) use NFS installs any more.
Hello DBMandrake,
I tried to find some information about why the NFS install is good compared to SD and/or USB, but I haven’t found. Do you have something about it? Maybe it helps to other to see the advantages and can use it if it really worth.
Thanks and regards!
