tried that too. Plus it only prompts me for a password, no username.
ssh osmc@yourpi
to specify the user name.
That worked and logged me in as osmc@osmc
now I can still save the gui settings per above?
Yes.
Sweet thanks again!
It really should be fixed now, but I will test for some other issues that may crop up as a result of the latest patch
Sam
I have a Raspi 1 here which still has problems with settings reset after reboot.
It is almost every time i reboot. I activated debug log and uploaded them here after a reboot loosing the settings: https://paste.osmc.tv/xuqijecilo
Since it happens so often, i will try another SD-card now and see if that is the problemā¦
Are you on the latest April update?
Yes, i was on the latest version. After a fresh install on an other sd-card it keeps settings againā¦ so probably the sd-card had a problemā¦
Iāve had this issue two times at the last weekend on my raspi 1 with the latest April update
Iāve activated debug log and Iāll post it the next time
Iām having the same issue I looked at your recommendations and this is what I tried.
cd .kodi/userdata
cp guisettings.xml guisettings.orig
And then I fought with changing the settings having problems with yes button timing out. I finally had success. Then I
cp guisettings.xml guisettings.new
diff guisettings.orig guisettings.new
And there is NO difference
Maybe 66 is to old. LOL
