yup - Just done one as per my link above. Plug in, Restore ATV software and all running good and ready for OSMC 
Sam - I bought exactly that, and as I sit here the device even after formatting to different format styles it does NOT show up in the OSMC installer. So dowloaded the app (today). have the mSATA SSD, connected to a USB IDE adapter. And it doesn’t register 
any ideas?
The HDD installation is not functional at the moment, but when it is, you will need to image a USB stick, as we don’t expect users to connect the HDD directly. The USB is then booted once and formats the HDD.

@sam_nazarko - I guess everyone is talking about the Internal HDD/ SSD thing for OSMC not being perfect yet… If the USB is working fine, can people use a USB HDD as well?
