Thanks, sorry I thought it was a sarcastic question - of course, and I feel the pain, one cannot forever support some antiquated platform if the device happens to live on for way longer than initially thought/planned… we’ve all been there. So yes, not sure what would be realistic but as Vero 4K lived on and on, well, it so happens that latecomers like myself faced a cliff edge very soon after deciding on the device. And yes timelines were known - I have not claimed that one was blindfolded or something… It was a risk, of course highly personal decision on what I really needed vs cost vs support - and hope never dies, having seen the generous extensions of the timeline
Absolutely, for myriad use cases it is still a perfectly fine platform and in my personal case (that might match others’) I’ll essentially take the hit of no more updates and later on might transition to next generation or an entirely different device.
So much appreciated I wasn’t aware of a May 2025 update coming, that’s great (was concerned more in terms of security, stability etc. issues but it has been a very solid platform at least in my not terribly intense use cases - and as there would be crucial e.g. security updates as you mentioned, that’s great). If these reported skipping/forever loading aspects can be hit, that would be super but I appreciate it’s an extra headache to dig into.
